Adjusting the Peanut Shelling Machine

Step 1
Adjust the metering plate. The metering plate is adjusted by loosening the wing nut, and rotating the plate in either the + or - direction. Moving in the + direction will widen the gap and allow more peanuts to enter the sheller at once. This will also allow larger nuts to be shelled.

Step 2
Adjust the rotor height so that whole shelled kernels fall through, but not nuts with shells still on. To adjust the rotor height, loosen the top lock nut, and rotate the handle clockwise or counter-clockwise while holding the rotor so it doesn't move. This will raise or lower the rotor.
